Marco Giudice BA Hons

As a child Marco spent hours with his sketch book drawing anything he could from fruit bowls to comic characters. From his sketch book he moved on to making, with one of his earliest pieces being a bird box made from wood off cuts, all before the age of ten. Marco’s flare and love for furniture making flourished throughout school and college.

Marco fell in love with design and hands on work, and by eighteen he was attending Buckinghamshire University to start the famous Furniture Design & Craftsmanship course. Located in High Wycombe, famous for it’s chair making industry, Marco spent the next three years designing and making. Some of his original pieces are still in use today in the family home and have stood the test of time at the Italian family gatherings.

Leaving University with a BA Hons, this marked the start of his now 20 years of industry experience. Those 20 years have seen him working in a number of environments and on a significant range of projects, from full fit outs in large London homes to small intricate jewellery boxes.

As a keen rock climber, Marco travelled around Europe for a year in his camper van and upon his return decided it was time to leave the big smoke and move to Ilkley and fell in love with the Yorkshire valleys. He enjoys all Yorkshire has to offer, from the climbing, to the people to places and loves getting out on the moors with The Wood Company’s four legged execs Podey & Zahra.
